About the role

Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a Zone Production Manager to hold accountability and responsibility for their plants in the Northern region of California. They will ensure they are operated safely, reliably and efficiently while achieving key performance indicators (KPls) and annual plan objectives.The successful candidate will lead safe, reliable and efficient plant operations across the assigned zone, ensuring delivery of KPIs and annual operating plan objectives.Key responsibilitiesEnsure compliance with HSE, process safety, engineering and environmental standards.Oversee on-site operations, maintenance, quality and service delivery.Drive cost competitiveness, continuous improvement and EMOC change standards.Lead teams to meet performance, reliability and customer service targets.Carry out additional duties as required.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.At least 5 years’ professional experience.At least 2 years’ people leadership or functional leadership experience.Experience in a fast-paced operational setting with demanding customers.Strong analytical, problem-solving and execution skills.Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 process-safety requirements.Preferred backgroundExperience in process industries, industrial gases, chemicals or petroleum.Previous experience in engineering, operations, maintenance or reliability.
