About the role

Receptionist/Administrative Support This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of receptionist/administrative support duties in a manner that will ensure the proper functioning of the unit and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of assigned staff. This position performs duties under specific instructions of supervisor and carries out recurring office procedures independently. Routes calls to other staff members and takes and delivers messages or forwards calls to voice mail when appropriate. May answer the phone for large numbers of employees and call volume may be large. Handles emergency/urgent calls as they occur. Greets visiting clients, employees and guests. Notifies staff members on arrival of guests. Provides general assistance involving routine matters. Follows appropriate security measures as determined by the customer. Performs routine clerical duties related to function or area. Work may include routine or basic computer work, preparation of forms, retrieving data and running reports. Order office supplies.
