We are currently looking for Full-Time Customer Service Representative to join our Team within the Sales department. The Customer Service Representative position, Located in the Chicago area. This position is Full-Time The employee works Hybrid (Employees works on-site and off-site) at our office located in our Chicago headquarters.
Position Summary: First point of contact for our customers, and Sales related activities. Close working relationship with both outside sales representatives, and production managers is critical. Manage applied inventory, finished goods, on-time performance for orders, investigate customer complaints, and provide direction for solutions. The Customer Service Representative is also responsible for coordinating the movement, and shipment of material to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review daily the open order report, and work with production scheduling to ensure orders are ready on time. Review AR report weekly to ensure material is correctly being reserved for specific customers. Communicate order status to customers on a regular/ongoing basis. Expedite open orders that are delinquent or have potential to become delinquent with production scheduling, purchasing, and management (when necessary).Proactively advise appropriate parties (production, sales, management, purchasing) of issues /barriers to meeting customers' needs, and on-time performance. Call all active customer contacts weekly to maintain contact and check on service satisfaction and opportunities. Reconcile open orders weekly (working with Sales Representatives). Close our completed orders timely. Process all order change requests from customers. Submit alternatives/ deviations to customers for approval when necessary. Review finished goods report and work with customers to ship all current and past due orders. Involve Sales Representatives and/or Manager when necessary. Type up all directs, and include copy of Sales Order, customer Purchase Order, and source documents. Obtain freight rates, credit approval, and order trucks for all shipments. This includes material that is processed on the outside. Document pertinent communications with customers on Sales Orders. If changes or deviations are made to an order, obtain approval in writing from the customer. Solicit business from existing customers as part of routine customer contact. Maintain customer files, which may include customer specifications, requirements, and communications. Responsible for movement of all CCR material and maintain record of all CCR's. Provide back-up for compiling daily billing packages. Experience/Education Requirement: Associate degree.1-2 years of customer service experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and
Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong customer orientation.
