Our team is growing, and we are looking for a highly dedicated individual who can deliver creative, technical ideas that drive change for us and our clients.About the RoleWe are looking for a Principal Consultant/Senior Data Analyst who can bridge the gap between high-level business strategy, data engineering, and delivery.In this role, you won't just gather requirements—you will actively lead discovery, analyze complex legacy data models, review system integrations, and map out enterprise-level digital transformations. If you have a background in elite tech consulting or internal business innovation, a strong grip on data analysis, and a natural knack for data flows, you will thrive here.The ideal candidate will be able to take a requirement from analysis through high-level solution design, working with the data architect to scope and estimate the effort.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesCross-Functional Delivery & Project Management: Own the delivery cadence for client engagements — structuring and running standups, deep-dives, and steering calls; maintaining workstream-level trackers and RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions); and driving phase-gate deliverables, status reporting, budget tracking. Escalate and align with the PMO as needed.Lead Enterprise Discovery: Conduct discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews across multiple client departments to define project scope, requirements, and detailed data flows.Map Integrations & Data Flows: Document end-to-end data flows, system integrations, data quality and data governance requirements in complex, legacy enterprise environments (e.g., ERP, WMS, OMS, payment gateways).Domain Analysis: Take ownership of a specific business area's analytics (e.g., marketing, operations, product); coordinate with the Data Architect on solution design.Query & Model Data: Write SQL against modern data warehouse/lakehouse platforms to extract, join, and shape data for analysis; build and maintain reusable data models where needed.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS), Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related technical field.Must Have Consulting Background: 7+ years of professional experience, ideally split between digital consulting firms (e.g., EY, Slalom) and internal corporate innovation or technology solutions roles.Data Analysis expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience with data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role, against modern data warehouse/lakehouse platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift etc.).Technical Toolbelt:Requirements Definition and Use Case Creation: Able to write complete requirements that draw on your data analysis experience to drive acceptance criteria and QA tests.Data & Analytics: Solid understanding of data models with specific understanding of enterprise data and schema.Data Flow: Strong documentation skills for creating ER diagrams, process flows, and integration mappings.Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; a "business-first, tech-fluent" operator who can easily translate technical requirements for non-technical executives. Excellent requirements gathering, comfort collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership.Location: Ability to work hybrid out of Boston, work at local Boston customer offices as well as travel onsite to customer facilities as needed.Location: Boston (US), Hybrid, with availability for occasional client travel as needed.Nice to HaveMicrosoft Fabric / Power BI / Google Data Analytics certificationProficiency with a BI/visualization tool: Power BI, Tableau, or LookerUnderstanding of ETL/ELT concepts, even without building pipelines directlyCloud platform exposure (Azure, AWS or GCP)Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, HubSpot etc.)
