About the role
- Prepare PCBA cost estimates for RFQs (BOM, Gerber, drawings)
- Calculate material, assembly, and test costs for PCB assemblies
- Analyze BOMs for pricing, alternates, and lifecycle status
- Source electronic components from distributors and suppliers
- Work with procurement and engineering teams for cost validation
- Support pricing strategy for customer quotes and bids
- Maintain RFQ tracking and pricing records in Excel/ERP systems
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and alternate sourcing options
- 3+ years experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, or PCBA quoting
- Knowledge of PCB assembly (SMT, THT) and electronic components
- Ability to read BOMs, Gerber files, and engineering drawings
- Strong Excel skills for costing and data analysis
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Experience in Tier 2 or Tier 3 EMS companies
- Knowledge of supply chain and component sourcing
- Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
