About the role

We’re actively seeking an experienced Principal Test Engineer to support a medical device manufacturing organization within the Acute Care Monitoring (ACM) business unit. This role focuses on developing robust, production-ready manufacturing test systems for optical sensors and LED-based products.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement manufacturing test methods, equipment, and applications Develop test methodologies, requirements, validation strategies, test limits and guard bands Develop URS/SRS requirements and support verification and validation activities Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gauge R&R, uncertainty analysis, and statistical analysis Translate R&D laboratory measurement methods into high-volume manufacturing test solutions Analyze measurement variation, repeatability, reproducibility, and yield performance Integrate test instruments and develop automated test applications Identify improvements to test equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, and test requirements Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and product teams
Required Technical Skills: Manufacturing Test Engineering & Test Application Development LabVIEW, Test Stand, and test instrument integration Manufacturing test requirements and methodology development Preferred Domain ExperienceLED emitter characterization and optical measurement systems Spectroscopy and spectrometer integration Optical sensor technologies and photonics-based measurement systems Signal processing and measurement uncertainty Understanding of factors affecting optical measurements, including temperature, drive current, fixturing, alignment, and environmental conditions Statistical analysis of measurement variation, repeatability, reproducibility, and yield
