About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Houston, Texas and support critical commercial applications used across front-, mid-, and back-office operations. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining enterprise systems that support activities such as contract administration, scheduling, valuation, settlement, invoicing, and reporting across multiple commodities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and deliver dependable application support and system improvements.
Responsibilities: Support and maintain enterprise applications that enable commercial business functions across multiple operational areas and commodity workflows. Partner with business users and technical teams to gather needs, analyze issues, and translate requirements into practical system solutions. Contribute to application deployments, software upgrades, and integration testing to help ensure stable and effective system performance. Assist with the design, evaluation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of business systems and related application enhancements. Create and refine system documentation, process models, and application designs to align technical solutions with user expectations. Investigate production issues, resolve application defects, and provide day-to-day functional and technical support for supported systems. Share technical knowledge with team members and users through guidance, mentoring, and training activities that strengthen overall team capability. Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and provide on-call support during key monthly processing periods as needed. Serve as a liaison between business groups and IT to promote clear communication, coordinated delivery, and effective issue resolution.
