Job Description: Abatement and Demolition Services, Inc. (ADS), Central Florida's premier environmental remediation and demolition company is seeking a bright, energetic and detailed individual that can handle a high volume of work in a timely and efficient manner. This is a great opportunity for someone with a construction estimating background in non-structural demolition and asbestos, lead and mold abatement to get involved with a highly successful and growing company. Our primary projects include VA Hospitals, schools, condo complexes, ships, banks and post offices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task, be a problem-solver, show a strong attention to detail and organization, and - most importantly - believe in a team-oriented approach. This position is based out of our Tampa, FL office. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:Prepares complete bids/proposals, follow ups with Asbestos/Lead Abatement, Demolition, Water/Mold Remediation clients for selected projects with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, take-off information, and contract requirements. Download project documents for new bids Review current pricing of fuel, materials, equipment and disposal costs Perform administrative tasks to support the estimating, project managers, and field personnel Determine scopes of work and assist multiple sales staff Communicate project and bid information with general contractors and owners Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications is a must Track estimating results and success rates Perform additional assignments per supervisory direction.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry (demolition, asbestos and/or lead hazard abatement experience preferred).Construction and job costing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word) and accounting/estimating software (i.e. Xactimate, Blue Beam or equivalent)
  • Able to work well as a team player.
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.
