Energy Auditor in Training – True Management LLCTrue Management LLC is a small, community-focused weatherization company with two locations in Northampton County. We help families lower their energy bills and live more comfortably by making their homes more energy efficient through weatherization programs. We're now looking for an Energy Auditor in Training to join our team and grow into a certified Building Performance professional.
No experience? No problem. We'll train you from the ground up. The right candidate will have some experience in construction, sales or environmental sciences. You'll learn how to assess homes for energy waste, perform diagnostic testing, and recommend cost-effective improvements that make a real difference for our neighbors. You'll work alongside experienced, BPI-certified auditors and crew chiefs who will mentor you every step of the way.
What You'll Learn & Do:
Shadow experienced auditors during home energy assessments
Learn to use diagnostic equipment: blower doors, infrared cameras, combustion analyzers, and more
Identify air leaks, insulation gaps, and heating/cooling inefficiencies
Perform basic energy calculations and write clear, accurate reports
Communicate with homeowners in a friendly, respectful way
Help with scheduling, homeowner education, paperwork, and quality control as you gain experience
Qualifications:
- No prior auditing experience required – just a willingness to learn
- Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, driving record check, and background check
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas; climb ladders; lift up to 50 lbs

Our work is performed primarily through weatherization programs. These programs provides free energy upgrades to qualifying low-income households, including insulation, air sealing, heating system repairs, and other efficiency measures. As a certified contractor, True Management LLC carries out these upgrades in our community, ensuring that homes are safer, healthier, and more affordable to heat and cool—while also reducing overall energy waste.
