We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. AlphaGov is seeking a Municipal Classification & Compensation Consultant to lead the civilian-workforce workstream on an active municipal classification and compensation study (City of Myrtle Beach, SC — proposal due early October 2026).
What you'll do: Lead the civilian-workforce classification structure review (approximately 270 titles) Develop civilian pay-grade recommendations and implementation options Conduct market benchmarking versus peer municipalities Present findings to project leadership and contribute to client-ready study deliverables Contribute municipal class/comp leadership qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissionedNamed-SME-with-resume role.
