About the role
We are seeking a Fabrication Project Manager to coordinate fabrication work and keep shop production aligned with project requirements and field schedules. This role is suited to someone who understands fabrication workflows, can manage competing priorities and communicates effectively with shop teams, project managers and field leadership.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate fabrication projects from planning and material procurement through production and delivery. Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to clarify scope and fabrication needs. Develop and track fabrication schedules, aligning shop priorities with field installation requirements. Coordinate materials, vendors and outside services to support timely production. Monitor project costs, progress and changes, addressing issues that could affect budget or delivery. Work with fabrication and project teams to resolve drawing questions, material shortages and production constraints. Coordinate quality requirements and documentation with the appropriate teams. Maintain clear communication between the shop, project management and field operations. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce rework and strengthen delivery performance.
What We’re Looking For:
Project management or production coordination experience in mechanical fabrication, piping, industrial construction or a closely related environment. Ability to read fabrication drawings and understand how scope moves through a shop. Experience coordinating schedules, materials, costs and delivery commitments. Strong organization, communication and practical problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of project follow-through. Experience working directly with shop personnel and construction project teams. Relevant Backgrounds Candidates may currently work as a Fabrication Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Piping Project Manager or Fabrication Manager. Project Engineers with substantial responsibility for fabrication coordination may also be considered. Experience with mechanical piping and prefabrication is especially relevant.
Compensation:
Based on experience. The salary range and full package will be discussed during the recruiting process.
