About the role
Adecco Creative is partnering with an iconic Fashion house to recruit for a Contract Hardware Designer. This position will be a 3-month contract and hybrid schedule in Midtown Manhattan. Partner with the design teams to create design sketches, technical drawings and create sample comments specifically for hardware for mainline handbags Must have elevated eye and can bring innovation and creativity to the role, along with technical skill. Ideal candidate will bring significant value and creativity to the role Previous experience in hardware construction especially in handbags. Preferably someone who has industrial or product design related background. In addition, someone who is detail oriented with at least have 3+ years of experience in the industry is needed. Hardware designer must be highly adaptable, extremely organized and an exceptional communicator. Knowledge of industry-relevant software such as Adobe Suites (specifically Illustrator and plugin – CAD Tools) and knowledge in 3D programs such as AutoCAD, and Rhino is a plus
