About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can take ownership of financial operations, reporting, and month-end close while partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do:
Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of financial statements. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards and regulations. Analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support annual audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with internal teams and provide financial guidance as needed. Mentor junior accounting team members and help maintain a high standard of accuracy and accountability. Stay current on accounting regulations, industry developments, and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing. Experience with tax preparation and financial compliance. Proficiency with accounting and financial software such as Yardi, SAP, or similar platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Leadership mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively and mentor others. CPA certification preferred.
