Role Description: The Lead Production Mixer / Blending Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Paterson, NJ. This position is responsible for measuring, mixing, and blending ingredients according to standard recipes and production specifications, ensuring consistent quality and texture for all products. The role includes setting up and operating mixing equipment, monitoring batch times and temperatures, and documenting production data for each run. The Lead Production Mixer / Blending Technician also oversees ingredient inventory at the mixing station, coordinates with baking and kitchen teams, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines. This role may assist with training team members on mixing procedures, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting overall production schedules.
Qualifications: Experience with commercial mixing or blending processes in a bakery, or food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of basic food preparation, recipe scaling, and ingredient handling, including accurate measuring and weighing. Ability to operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on mixing and blending equipment safely. Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and safe handling practices in a production kitchen. Strong attention to detail, quality control focus, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with production, baking, and kitchen teams. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move ingredient bags or containers, and work in a fast-paced environment. Previous leadership or lead-operator experience in a production setting is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in culinary arts, baking, or food production is a plus.
