As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be expected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will be expected to support all imaging centers staffed by UCLA Health. Duties include, but are not limited to: Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations Perform accurate image archival Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder level

Licenses A combination of the ARRT and CRT – required. MR certificate requiredOR you need A combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) – requiredBLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required Graduate from a Radiologic Technologist Program – preferred Venipuncture certificate – preferredAA or BS – preferred At least 1 year of MRI experience – preferred Siemens experience – preferred Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies Ability to identify contraindications for exams Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes) Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health
