About the role
To support an engaging learning environment, the part-time History Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses remotely, communicate with students, and serve as subject matter experts, with responsibilities including weekly outreach and hosting live lectures during evening and weekend hours.
Key responsibilities:
Teach and facilitate undergraduate and/or graduate courses, ensuring student engagement and course completion
Conduct weekly outreach to students struggling in the course and respond to inquiries within 48 hours
Host a minimum of two live lectures during specified evening and weekend hours and provide timely feedback on student submissions
Required qualifications:
Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field from an accredited institution
Have a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline for those with a terminal degree in any field
Demonstrate experience teaching at the college/university level (preferred)
Possess the ability to provide and manage course content effectively using Blackboard Learning Management System
Maintain secure and reliable internet access and provide necessary teaching equipment, including a computer and software
