About the role
- Process Tool Utility Matrix Development: Design, develop, and maintain utility matrices for all process tools, ensuring accurate planning and delivery of essential services (e.g., UPW, specialty gases, electrical loads, exhaust) required for fabrication lines.·FAB Layout Development: responsible for developing and maintaining facility layout plans for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities from conceptual design up to detail design. This includes the main fab layout including automation, manufacturing support areas, clean subfab and utility subfab.· Base build Space Planning: Support as needed the planning, allocation and coordination of subfab and interstitial spaces of the semiconductor factory. Requires managing and or development of detail layouts of the lateral utility distribution.· DIV 41 Specification Release: Support the development, review and validation of bridge crane, monorail, hoist and other DIV 41 devices and required by the project. Provide professional stamping of the specification when the project requires.·Data Analysis: Utilize statistical process control (SPC), data visualization, and simulation tools (e.g., EXCEL, Power BI, Flex Sim, AnyLogic) to generate actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.·Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, process engineers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.· Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, standard work, and operating procedures, ensuring compliance with industry and safety regulations. - Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.·10+years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, including demonstrated experience with semiconductor fab design. This may include working for an engineering or design firm responsible for semiconductor fab base build design, or working as an industrial engineer or in a similar role in a semiconductor fab with experience in process tool operations, fab utility systems, and factory layout.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools including Excel and Power BI· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment. Abilities:· Able to apply the applicant's knowledge base of these systems to address specific client needs, including both functionality, reliability, and cost.· Able to apply the applicant's knowledge base of these systems to communicate building and infrastructure requirements to CSA and MEP disciplines and/or to modify one's recommendations to accommodate building and infrastructure requirements.· Able to communicate concepts, technical requirements, and recommendations to both clients and partners, who may not be conversant in the systems being applied, as well as potential suppliers, each of whom will have their own, proprietary, equipment sets and controls philosophies.· Able to create comprehensive performance specifications for procurement, including both narrative and pictorial documentation.· Able to travel both domestic and international 5 to 15% of the time on average and accommodate longer travel periods as project needs dictate.· Able to adjust working daily working hours based on project needs to accommodate clients and partners in other time zones.· Must be able to obtain Professional Engineer License in OR, ID, and NY at start of employment· Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Data analysis experience using MS Excel, Power BI, or similar tools· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Here's what you'll need Ideally, you'll also have:
- Familiarity with equipment specifications written in CSI Master format
- Experience using database tools
- Experience with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHSs)
- Expertise in semiconductor manufacturing tools used for logic chips, memory, and advanced packaging
- Experience managing technical teams
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
