Job Title: Director of Safety and Compliance-Mason City, IALead Safety, Compliance, and Sustainability in Renewable Energy! Golden Grain Energy LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Safety and Compliance to join its team in Mason City, IA.This leadership position provides strategic direction for all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs while ensuring operational excellence and adherence to evolving clean-fuel standards. As a highly visible leader, you will champion a culture of safety, guide critical compliance initiatives, and help drive the continued success of a state-of the art- facility supporting both renewable energy and local agriculture. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes: Medical, Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Short- and Long-Term Disability Life, AD&D, and Supplemental Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Bonus opportunity Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead all environmental, health, safety (EHS), and regulatory compliance initiatives across the organization Drive a strong safety culture through OSHA compliance, training, inspections, and incident prevention programs Manage environmental permits, reporting, and compliance programs related to air, water, and hazardous materials Oversee regulatory audits, inspections, and clean-fuel compliance requirements while service as the primary agency liaison Collaborate across departments to identify compliance risk, ensure operational excellence, and develop team members Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Safety, Compliance, or a related field preferred 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental, health, safety, regulatory, or clean-fuel compliance Experience within ethanol production, renewable fuels, industrial manufacturing, or a similarly regulated environment strongly preferred OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training required We are an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
