Job Description: British Custom Tailors, a third-generation family tailor shop in Louisville, Kentucky, is looking for an experienced tailor or alterations specialist to join our team. We specialize in luxury bespoke clothing and professional alterations for men and women, including suits, formalwear, bridal garments, dresses, denim, leather and fine fabrics. We are looking for someone who:• Has professional tailoring, alterations or garment-construction experience• Can perform alterations independently and accurately• Has strong sewing and hand-finishing skills• Takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail• Is comfortable working on high-quality and luxury garments• Wants to build a long-term career in tailoring Experience with suit jackets, dresses, bridal garments or complex alterations is highly valued.
