Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Landscape Care & Lawn Maintenance: Perform routine turf care including commercial mowing, string trimming, lawn edging, and leaf blowing.
Detailing & Plant Health: Prune trees and shrubs, trim hedges, pull weeds, apply mulch, and maintain decorative plant/flower beds.
Debris & Property Clean-Up: Keep grounds, parking lots, walkways, and outer perimeters clean and clear of trash, fallen branches, and organic debris.
Equipment Care & Safety: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and commercial grounds equipment (e.g., zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws). Perform basic routine daily maintenance checks on assigned equipment and vehicles.
Compliance & Professionalism: Adhere to all safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Represent the company in a professional, courteous manner when interacting with clients, facility managers, or the public
Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, sanitation, or municipal labor is but not required (on-the-job training provided).
License:
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (required for driving department vehicles/utility carts).
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform strenuous physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, rain, cold).
Ability to repeatedly pull, lift, and carry heavy trash bags and containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift continuously throughout a full shift.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to complete assigned daily park routes independently with minimal supervision.
