Job Description Job description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality improvement, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and collaborate with Production, Quality, Operations, and other departments to support process improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and optimize production processes. Responsibilities &
Preferred Skills: Production & ERP Support (60%) Work on assigned production orders daily using the ERP system and support team members as needed to complete orders accurately and on time. Review production order information and maintain accurate production records and ERP data. Production Documentation (20%) Maintain and update production SOPs, work instructions, and related documentation based on current production requirements. Collect and analyze production data and prepare weekly or monthly reports as needed Cross-Functional Support (10%) Identify production order issues and coordinate with Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, Customer Service, and other departments to obtain solutions and keep orders moving. Follow up on open issues and escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate team or manager when needed. Sample Support (10%) Support product sample builds by coordinating materials, documentation, and production activities as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. The Preferred Candidate Will Have the Following Skills & Abilities Experience with ERP/MRP systems; MISys experience preferred. Experience processing and managing production or manufacturing orders. Ability to understand production orders, BOMs, SOPs, work instructions, and related manufacturing documentation. Experience maintaining or updating production documentation, SOPs, and work instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail when working with ERP data, production records, and documentation. Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Forklift operating experience preferred.
Physical Job Requirements: Ability to work in both office and manufacturing/warehouse environments, including regular standing and walking on the production floor. Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds and safely work around manufacturing and material-handling equipment.
