Part Time ReceptionistFLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Job Class: Part Time
Reports to: School Principal
Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Maintain operational and communication link between the department staff and the district.
  • Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
  • Help coordinate the work flow of the office.
  • Receiving/sorting mail and other communications
  • Support the departmental staff in other activities as assigned
  • Qualifications And Skills
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
  • Effective technical and communication writing skillsAbility to operate basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentially in all aspects of the operations of the department
  • Ability to interact with and understand group dynamics
  • Ability to carry out oral and written communication with a minimum of supervision
  • General knowledge of computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
  • Ability and willingness to continue education and training necessary to maintain highest level of quality service and support
  • Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear with background noise.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
