About the Opportunity: One of our clients, a well-established wholesale distributor with decades of history and a strong regional footprint, is looking for a driven Territory Account Manager to grow its presence in the Harahan market. The organization supplies contractors with products from leading national manufacturers and is known for putting its people and customers first, with clear paths for career growth and advancement. This is a relationship-driven, outside sales role for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, takes ownership of a territory, and is motivated by hitting and beating targets.
What You'll Be Doing: Own an assigned territory, driving revenue growth and expanding market share Prospect for new business and bring new dealer accounts on board using targeted programs and market strategies Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers through consistent follow-up and a genuine understanding of their business Hold a minimum of 20 in-person customer meetings each week Negotiate pricing in line with market conditions while protecting margin goals Meet or exceed your individual sales budget and contribute to overall regional targets Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to plan, forecast, and map out territory growth Collaborate with manufacturer and vendor partners to identify and act on sales opportunities Address customer concerns quickly and take a proactive, solutions-focused approach Represent the company at dealer meetings, trade shows, conferences, incentive trips, and industry or utility-sponsored events Track opportunities and report on activity using a CRM system Participate in ongoing training to keep your product and industry knowledge sharp What You Bring 2–4 years of outside sales experience within the industry, ideally selling equipment to contractors at the wholesale level. Candidates with 5–10 years of B2B sales experience in other industries and a documented track record of results will also be considered Proven success setting and achieving sales goals Background spanning sales, marketing, operations, or leadership Ability to analyze sales and market data and turn it into an actionable territory plan Confident presenter who can act as a trusted business advisor to customers Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Self-starter who works well independently while staying aligned with the team Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Quick to learn new software and technologyA mindset of continuous learning, with a willingness to teach and lead others
Requirements: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance Clean driving record for the past 3 years Comfortable with daily travel to customer locations throughout the assigned territory Why Join?
