We're looking for someone who is excited about learning…about us, about our organization, how we do things, and how we assist field leadership throughout Farm Bureau.
What You'll Do: As our PC Sales Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience with the tools and resources we use to support our Agency Force and field team members. You will also: Provide project coordination support for PC Sales, PC Growth, Book Transfer, Succession Planning, and related initiatives by tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Support book transfer and succession planning activities through documentation support, assessment coordination, agreement tracking, and transition administration. Assist with tracking and reporting on book assignments, including milestones, risks, issues, and outcomes, and help prepare summaries and basic dashboards. Maintain shared tools, documentation, and process resources used to support book transfers and sales initiatives, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Support communication efforts by drafting updates, preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, and capturing notes and action items. Assist with data collection, basic analysis, and presentation support related to PC Sales performance, growth initiatives, and book transfer results. Help track resource needs and task completion by coordinating with consultants, leadership, and support partners involved in book transfers and sales initiatives. Participate in onsite support activities as needed, including potential travel to agent offices with Health Services teams and Book Transition Support Consultants to assist with transition and support efforts. Provide general operational and administrative support to help manage changing priorities, workload fluctuations, and special projects. As an intern, you will also participate in corporate activities designed to provide exposure to our industry, organization, and culture. Our internship program follows an 80/10/10 approach: 80% of your time will be spent performing meaningful work and project-based assignments within your department. 10% of your time will be dedicated to learning from and networking with employees in other areas of the organization. 10% of your time will be spent participating in shared internship experiences that provide insight into our culture, leadership, and business operations. What It Takes to Join Our Team: Be a current college student (Junior or Senior status preferred). Passion for learning new things and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems. Be dependable, organized, and detail oriented. Be an effective communicator, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in-person from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa part-time during spring 2027 and full-time (38.75 hours/week) during summer 2027. If you're ready to get a jump-start in business, program coordinating, and leadership assistance, our internship might be the right fit. We are not able to sponsor now or in the future, or take over sponsorship of, an employment visa or work authorization for this role. For example, we are not considering candidates with OPT status.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
