About the role

Our nation's veterans served with courage and pride. When faced with a terminal illness, it is our honor to give back to them. That is why we are seeking Veterans like you to provide companionship to your fellow Veterans who are on hospice service. By becoming a Veteran volunteer, your unique experiences and skills can profoundly impact the lives of your fellow Veterans, fostering a supportive and understanding environment as they navigate their end-of-life journey. You can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who have served our nation with honor and valor in a variety of ways, including: Companionship: Providing companionship and emotional support to ease feelings of isolation and loneliness. Caregiver Relief: Offering respite to primary caregivers, allowing them time to rest and recharge. Pinning Ceremonies: Honoring Veteran patients with heartfelt pinning ceremonies, recognizing their service and sacrifices, and creating cherished memories for families. Life Review: Facilitating meaningful conversations and life reviews, allowing Veterans to share their experiences. Volunteers make their own schedules! Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
