About the role

Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (US / Canada)
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension or conversion)
Level: Senior (4+ years of experience)
Reports To: Head of DesignAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer for a fast-moving client building an AI-powered apartment search product. In this platform, a renter shares their budget and must-haves, and an AI agent finds listings, connects with leasing teams, and books tours on their behalf. This is a hands-on, six-month contract role designed for a designer who holds a remarkably high bar for craft and aesthetics. You will own the renter-facing flows end-to-end. Crucially, you will leverage modern AI tools to rapidly turn ideas into working, code-backed prototypes, spending the time you save on visual polish, personality, and world-class UI design. What You Will DoOwn the Renter Journey: Drive the end-to-end consumer experience, from problem framing through to a shipped flow. The flagship experience is "search-to-tour," optimizing multi-step onboarding and search paths. Ship with AI: Use tools like Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma MCP daily to go from concept to a working prototype incredibly fast. Raise the Craft Bar: Turn utilitarian flows into experiences that feel intentional, alive, and polished. Spend the speed AI gives you to inject personality and exceptional visual design into the product. Design System Collaboration: Work within and extend the existing design system with strict token discipline (note: building the system from scratch is not the job; utilizing and extending it is).Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with the Director of Product, Engineering, and Data teams. Find problems autonomously, form a point of view, and make a compelling case for your solutions. What We Are Looking ForExperience: 4+ years designing B2C or consumer digital products across web and mobile, including complex, high-traffic flows. You must have owned complete journeys, not just isolated components. AI Integration: Proven, professional experience shipping with AI. Tools like Claude, Cursor, and Figma MCP must be part of your daily workflow, and you must be able to justify and refine AI outputs. Exceptional UI/Visual Design: A remarkable aesthetic bar. You bring real craft and personality to the screen and know how to make everyday flows feel premium. Figma Mastery: Deep expertise in Figma (components, variables, prototyping) and comfort extending an existing design system. Communication & Autonomy: You spot problems early, act without being told, and can confidently articulate and defend your design decisions to product leadership.
Nice to Have: Motion design and front-end skills (Rive, Lottie, After Effects, HTML, CSS, or React).Experience with online marketplaces, A/B testing, and experimentation (lifecycle, landing pages, or growth marketing).A strong human-centered research sensibility to bring moments of delight to everyday workflows.
What We Offer: 100% Remote flexibility working within the US or Canada. The opportunity to shape the core consumer experience of a cutting-edge, AI-native real estate product. A fast-paced environment where high-quality design is the primary differentiator

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
