About the Opportunity Synthesis Health is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Manager to manage the bookkeeping and accounting transactions at Synthesis Health. The Accounting Manager will report to the Vice President of Financial Operations but work with the People and Culture team to manage the payroll and state registration processes. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Management Prepare accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards and company policies. Reconcile various General Ledger accounts and appropriate sub-ledgers. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts documenting business transactions. Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Work with the FP&A on customer invoices. Timely close monthly financials in accordance with the reporting schedule. Ensure accurate and timely management of company accounts and financial transactions. Remits tax payments and prepares government filings. Oversee and manage audit process, ensuring timelines are met. Build a robust system of controls, ensuring total confidence in transparent and honest financial systems. Payroll Processing Processes biweekly payroll. Remits payments to benefit carriers and HR vendors.Registers states and provinces for the appropriate tax filings. Prepares 1099 contractor forms.Assists with HR vendor, preparation of T4 and W2 forms for Synthesis employees. About the Right Candidate The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field. Five years' experience in accounting operations. Demonstrated experience managing payroll processing. Must have experience with IFRS accounting standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a SaaS company or healthcare company. Compensation and Benefits Compensation is paid in the currency of the country where the individual is hired. For this position, the salary range is $90,000-$120,000 USD for America based candidates and commensurate on experience. For candidates outside of the US, the salary will be calculated based on local salary markets.
