Overview:
Flexi/PRNAs an Ophthalmic Tech with Sentara, you will be responsible for the performance of procedures for the diagnostic and treatment of ophthalmic disease. With the Manager of the Eye Center for Sight, the Technician/Technologist will coordinate patient care to meet the expectations of the patients and staff. Along with the completion of technical procedures, the Technician/Technologist will manage clinics as assigned. Responsible for providing assistance to the Eye Center staff and Ophthalmology residents.
Education: Trade School Graduate- Ophthalmic Technologist
Certification/Licensure:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQICertified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) - Certification - IJCAHPO (International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology)
Experience:
1 year of ophthalmic experience required. Keywords: Customer Service, Vision, Eye Care, Eye Disease, Ophthalmology, Talroo-Allied Health

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
