About the role
Community Engagement Specialist We are looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to help grow our presence within Reddit communities and Facebook Groups. This person will actively participate in gardening communities, answer questions, join conversations and help build awareness of our brand as a trusted gardening resource. We are looking for someone with experience using and growing these channels. Plant knowledge is helpful, but not required. This person should be resourceful and comfortable using AI tools and other company resources to research plant-related questions. This is a part-time, work from home position. A computer will not be provided.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in relevant gardening and plant-related communities on Reddit and Facebook. Answer questions and contribute helpful information to discussions. Build Reddit account credibility, karma and engagement. Identify new Reddit communities and Facebook Groups where the business can participate. Research plant-care questions using AI tools and Plant Addicts.com resources. Share relevant Plant Addicts.com articles and resources when appropriate. Follow all community rules and avoid overly promotional posting. Track engagement, community growth and referral traffic.
Hours:
20 hours per week. Potential for additional hours based on performance Background Check - Candidates will need to pass a background check in order to be considered for the role. Must have a reliable internet connection and computer.
Qualifications:
Fluent written English Experience using Reddit and Facebook Groups Strong written communication skills Understanding of Reddit culture and community etiquette Comfortable using AI tools for research Strong research skills Ability to work independently Plant or gardening knowledge is helpful, but not required
Education & Experience: Education Bachelors Minimum Experience 3+
