- Read gas meters and accurately record readings using handheld technology.
- Drive assigned meter reading routes throughout Troutman, NC and surrounding communities.
- Meet daily production goals and route completion deadlines.
- Walk on various types of terrain to access meters when necessary.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- Work around pets, wildlife, and other environmental conditions.
- Prior meter reading experience is helpful but not required.
- No experience necessarypaid training is provided.
- What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Valid, unexpired driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Comfortable using computers, handheld devices, and other technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to walk several miles each day.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
