The Record Keeper is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and maintaining highway construction project documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This role supports project managers and contractors by preparing estimates, verifying completed work, and managing contract modifications in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
Review, audit, and maintain highway construction project records, including pay quantities, material testing reports, federal compliance items, and client-specific documentation.
Develop, review, and modify contract documents to reflect changes to original agreements.
Monitor records for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Prepare monthly estimates for contractors and verify measurement and payment of completed work.
Audit records for compliance with federal and state requirements.
Provide final construction records and as-built drawings.
Maintain effective communication with contractors and project managers to resolve conflicts and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).Minimum of 5 years of TxDOT records-keeping experience.
- Previous experience in highway construction inspection or supporting architects/engineers preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
- Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).Knowledge of Site
- Manager, Synchro, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam Revu preferred.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.
- Must be able to work onsite at a WSB office, as needed, up to five days per week, as required by the project, client, or hiring manager.
- Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak project phases.
- Travel or field visits may be required to support project needs or stakeholder collaboration.
- Travel may be required.
