About the role

Genova Technologies has an immediate opening for an Operations Assistant at our main office in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a part-time, hourly position. This position is not benefits-eligible. What will you do? This employee will support Shared Services within Genova, working with Recruiting, HR, Business Development, and Marketing on assigned tasks. You will be assigned between 20-30 hours of work each week. Work must be completed at our Cedar Rapids, IA office. Work can be completed between 12:00PM and 5:00PM Monday through Friday, with some flexibility on specific hours. Specific responsibilities include: Assisting HR/Accounting with general administrative tasks like data entry and filing Working with Business Development and Marketing by researching potential customers and opportunities Supporting Recruiting by creating and organizing new requisitions, creating job postings, and managing candidate databases Performing other administrative tasks as assigned. What do you need? The ideal candidate for this position will have: • High school diploma, GED, or similar • 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing or office-related job • Some experience using the Microsoft 365 suite of tools • Strong written communication skills • Ability to independently complete tasks as assigned. Skills we consider a plus include: • 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing or office-related job or equivalent post-high school educational experience • Some exposure to basic Accounting, HR, or Business Development practices • Strong verbal communication skills.
