About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Director of Field Service to lead and scale our field service organization supporting precision measurement and metrology equipment across the U.S. This is a senior leadership role responsible for service delivery, team development, and driving service as a strategic growth lever for the business.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Field Service Engineers/Technicians across multiple regions Develop and implement service strategy to improve response times, first-time-fix rates, and customer satisfaction Build scalable processes for scheduling, dispatch, parts logistics, and technical escalation Partner with Sales and Product teams to align service capabilities with customer needs and new product launches Recruit, train, and retain top field service talent as the team scales Manage key account relationships for high-value or strategic customers Drive continuous improvement in technical training programs and certification standards Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies across all field operations
Requirements: MUST HAVE Hands-on experience with metrology and dimensional measurement equipment is required — CMMs, laser trackers, optical/vision measurement systems, or similar precision instrumentation 8+ years of experience in field service, with 3+ years in a service leadership/management role Background in precision measurement, metrology, machine vision, or industrial automation equipment strongly preferred Proven track record of building and scaling field service teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales and Product Willingness to travel to support regional teams and key accounts Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (not required with equivalent experience)
