This pivotal role involves driving the architecture, engineering, and governance of scalable, secure, and compliant data capabilities to support various legal operations, including contract intelligence, eDiscovery, and AI/ML use cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the end-to-end data lakehouse architecture, designing multi-layered data architecture, and establishing ingestion frameworks for both structured and unstructured legal data. Additionally, the role requires leading the development of ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating with enterprise platforms, and ensuring data governance, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark. Strong expertise in AWS-based data platforms and a deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated environments are essential. The role also demands experience in working with unstructured data and NLP/document processing pipelines. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical discipline is required, and relevant certifications in Databricks and AWS are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal, compliance, financial services, or other regulated industries, and experience in supporting legal AI use cases.
