About the role

Material Transfer On-Highway Truck Mechanic The Material Transfer On-Highway Truck Mechanic is responsible for working with heavy machinery used in construction. They work with the biggest engines, inspecting, servicing, and repairing any damage to the engine or vehicle.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs independent preventative maintenance and repairs for a fleet of Dump Trucks and Lowboys
  • Checks each unit for safety related and other defects as required
  • Works with a wide variety of people and be able to work with their needs and requests

Work Schedule Full-time (10 hour days) Ability to work flexible schedules such as weekends, holidays, special days, etc. Overtime required Skills and Specifications Mechanical repair experience on heavy trucks and dump trucks Experience in the transportation/trucking industry Current valid driver's license Must have own tools High School Diploma or GED Equivalency Ability to legally work in the United StatesMust pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen Must pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Computer skills
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
  • Brake and AC Certified
  • Diagnosis of electrical problems
