About the role
Job Descriptioni Refract is seeking a couple motivated and caring Optometric Techs to open a new location in East Peoria, Illinois! Optometric Technicians are integral members of our team and they are truly a "jack of all trades", plus customer-service oriented, reliable, and hardworking.
Duties Include:
- Pre-test patients by performing pre-exams
- Verification of insurance and handling payments
- Schedule patient appointments
- Ensure proper check-out procedures
- Perform business and administrative tasks, such as maintaining order records, keeping track of patients' prescriptions, answering phones, medical billing, and ordering/maintaining inventory
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous direct experience in the eyecare industry preferred
- Passionate about providing exceptional customer service and excellent communication skills
- Great personality
- Strong drive and ability to take initiative
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and accurate multi-tasker
