Job Description:
We're seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) withschool-based experience to support students at a respected educationalfacility in Lynden, WA. This is a fantastic opportunity toenhance your interpretingskills in a collaborative andstudent-centered environment. You'llplay a key role in facilitatingcommunication by interpretingeducational and general content using American Sign Language (ASL) orother appropriate methods forindividuals who are deaf or hard ofhearing. Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality sign language interpretation services tostudents and staff Interpret a variety of spoken content, including lectures, discussions, meetings, events, and announcements Evaluate accommodation requests and coordinate interpretingservices for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Ensure all services are compliant with Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred)Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) via BEI orRIDEIPA score of 3.5 or higher required Valid BLS/CPR certification Minimum of 6 months of recent experience within the last 5 yearspreferred
