About the role

Job Description: Job Description Automotive & Diesel Technician (A-Level )Are you a diagnostic powerhouse who can seamlessly switch from a complex gas engine misfire to a diesel DEF system issue? We are a independent repair shop looking for a top-tier Lead Automotive & Diesel Technician to join our growing team. If you are tired of corporate bureaucracy, un-billable warranty time, and cutting corners, we offer an environment where your advanced skills are highly valued, properly supported, and heavily compensated.
What You Will Do: Perform complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics on gas, light-duty diesel, and medium-duty fleet vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair complex driveability complaints, electrical networks (CAN bus), emissions control systems (DPF/SCR), and hydraulic/braking systems. Complete engine tear-downs, timing component replacements, and major assembly overhauls with precision. Provide accurate digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) to help service advisors explain needed repairs clearly to clients. Maintain a clean, organized bay and respect shop safety standards.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
