About the role
Are you experienced in guitar repair? Want to be a traveling tech? Do you want a flexible schedule with competitive pay? Do you want to tech at premier music venues and competitions and for private clients?
As our Repair Tech, you will provide and perform maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments.
Violin repair experience is a plus!
Custom finish work and paint jobs huge bonus!
Requirements:
Guitar repair technician certification course from guitar Anywhere or 2 years work experience plus passing exam equivalent (required)
Applicants should have relevant experience in guitar repair, and set-up with both acoustic and electric instruments
Should be skilled in: Basic set-up work, intonation, neck adjustment, including locking tremolo system set ups and repairs
The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
Responsibilities:
Pickup installation and guitar electronics work (passive and active systems)
Fret work bonus but not required
Basic Acoustic repairs
guitar nut and bridge making not required but preferred
Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles, and able to provide an excellent customer experience
Is approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed to helping customers
Able to learn quickly and follow repair guidelines
Able to develop knowledge and skills including repair procedures, process and working with new guitar parts as they become available
Skilled understanding of repairing Guitars
Foundational product knowledge on Common guitar products used in repair and modifications
Able to identify opportunities & issues and follow through on work activities to resolve them
Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of caution, patience and efficiency
