Role Description: The Electrical Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Long Island City, NY. This position oversees day-to-day electrical construction activities for Battery Energy Storage & Complex Solar PV projects, including planning work schedules, coordinating crews, and ensuring installations are completed on time and within budget. The role involves managing subcontractors, monitoring site progress, enforcing construction safety standards, and resolving technical or logistical issues as they arise. The Electrical Construction Manager will review project plans, track materials and equipment, support inspections, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain high-quality outcomes and compliance with codes and regulations. This role also contributes to continuous improvement of construction processes and supports accurate reporting on project status and costs.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and experience leading field teams or subcontractors on electrical or construction projects. Candidates should possess Budgeting and Project Control skills to manage costs, track progress, and support on-time, within-budget delivery. Candidates should possess Construction and Construction Safety skills, including familiarity with solar installations, OSHA standards, and relevant building and electrical codes. Candidates should ideally have experience with electrical systems related to solar PV, inverters, and power distribution. Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders. Relevant technical or education, such as an electrical or construction management background, or equivalent field experience is preferred. Experience with Con Edison interconnections, NYC DOB filings, FDNY approvals, and other AHJ coordination. Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry and a valid driver’s license for travel to job sites.
