About the role

We are currently working with a leading global Construction and Cost Management Consultancy who are looking to appoint Construction Estimators at various levels in Tampa, Miami, Orlando and Jacksonville. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly secure business, working on some of the most significant construction and infrastructure projects across North America and internationally. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications and other project information. Undertake estimating, cost analysis and verification of contractor costs. Meet and negotiate costs with contractors and other project stakeholders. Utilise appropriate estimating tools, including client systems, bespoke estimating spreadsheets, industry estimating software and benchmarking data. Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to clients. Carry out cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Provide input into value engineering initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate and approve final accounts / final costs. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants throughout all project stages.
About You: 3+ years' experience in estimating, ideally working for a Construction Consultancy or Contractor Experience working on major construction projects, preferably with significant on-site exposure. Strong technical estimating and cost management knowledge. Experience working with contractors and/or clients on complex projects. The ability to work collaboratively within a wider team and support more junior colleagues. Must be based in one of the following cities (or commutable to): Orlando, Miami, Tampa or Jacksonville.
