About the role
POLA is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who can turn strategy and ideas into exceptional creative. This is not a production-only design role. We’re looking for an experienced designer with strong conceptual thinking, excellent taste, and the ability to take ownership of projects from initial concept through final execution. You’ll work alongside our Art Director, Creative Director, strategists, photographers, filmmakers, and marketing team to develop creative for brands across a wide range of industries. Projects may include brand identities, advertising campaigns, packaging, social campaigns, digital ads, websites, presentations, print, environmental graphics, and creative concepts for photo and video productions. We move quickly, collaborate constantly, and care deeply about the quality of the work we put into the world. The right person is comfortable receiving feedback, defending good creative decisions, pushing ideas further, and knowing when something simply isn’t good enough yet. This is an in-person position at POLA in Covington, Louisiana.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional graphic design experience Strong portfolio demonstrating senior-level design and conceptual thinking Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, hierarchy, and brand systems Experience developing brand identities and visual systems Ability to concept and execute advertising campaigns across multiple channels Experience designing for both digital and print applications Ability to take a project from creative brief through final production Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large campaigns Comfortable presenting creative ideas and explaining design decisions Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to receive and apply creative direction without losing ownership of the work Experience preparing production-ready files for print and digital use Must work in person at our Covington, Louisiana office Agency experience preferred Motion design, packaging, web design, or art direction experience is a plus
