Pay Range: $23.00hr - $28.00hr Requirement/
Must Have: Ability to support testing of moderately complex instruments. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong commitment to Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing. Ability to participate in Kaizen, Blitzes, shift-start meetings, Safety initiatives, and other CI projects. Knowledge of mechanical tools such as torque drivers, gauges, and bits. Ability to read drawings and interpret/measure dimensions and requirements. Ability to manage multiple production orders and processes within allotted time standards. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Understanding of quality procedures and manufacturing standards. Ability to adapt to frequent assignment changes.
Responsibilities: Build, integrate, and understand the complete assembly process and requirements for instruments in the production area. Perform functional and release testing for at least one moderately complex instrument. Analyze test results and data to determine pass/fail status and identify solutions for failed results. Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, and software issues with non-functioning test equipment. Optimize instrument performance, including precision of movement and/or light systems, using test defects and recommend design and process improvements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, dimensions, and workmanship standards. Provide training and mentoring to associates on mechanical and testing activities. Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing as needed. Perform production activities in accordance with specifications, operating procedures, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Perform material handling of instrument raw materials and sub-assemblies. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Follow GMP, safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures. Support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing overtime and perform other duties as required. Skills Electromechanical assembly. Electrical troubleshooting. Mechanical troubleshooting.
