About the role
Sanitation Supervisor A well-established food manufacturing and processing organization is seeking an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to join its operations team in Royal City, WA.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an industrial sanitation professional who understands food safety, equipment cleaning, sanitation procedures, and the importance of leading employees effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Sanitation Supervisor will oversee daily sanitation operations, ensure production equipment and processing areas meet food safety and cleanliness standards, and lead sanitation employees through both routine cleaning activities and peak-season production demands.
The position offers a unique combination of hands-on sanitation work and team leadership. During the off-season, the supervisor will work alongside a smaller core sanitation team, actively participating in equipment cleaning, disassembly, sanitizing, and reassembly. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial sanitation experience, demonstrated leadership ability, and excellent communication skills. We're looking for someone who can earn the respect of the team, provide clear direction, hold employees accountable, and help continuously improve sanitation practices.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established food manufacturing operation where your leadership and technical expertise will directly impact food safety, equipment readiness, and production efficiency.
What You'll Do:
Supervise daily sanitation operations within a food manufacturing and processing facility
Lead, train, coach, and support sanitation technicians to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and operational readiness
Work hands-on alongside the sanitation crew during slower production periods, including equipment cleaning, disassembly, sanitizing, and reassembly
Coordinate and supervise a larger seasonal sanitation workforce during peak harvest operations
Assign daily responsibilities, organize work schedules, and allocate labor according to production requirements and sanitation priorities
Oversee pre-operational, post-operational, deep-cleaning, and allergen-changeover sanitation activities
Ensure production equipment, processing areas, and surrounding environments are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures
Conduct pre-operational inspections and verify sanitation effectiveness before equipment is released for production
Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, sanitation standard operating procedures, and applicable food safety requirements
Ensure sanitation chemicals are properly used, diluted, stored, and handled according to safety procedures
Support environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, ATP testing, and corrective action activities
Train employees on safe cleaning practices, chemical handling, equipment teardown and reassembly, and sanitation documentation
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
