About the role
Duties Help Process clearance actions, background investigations, and periodic re-investigations using specialized security tracking databases. Administer the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) and track staff security training and Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Facilitate personnel travel authorizations and monitor allocated budgets using travel management software, such as the Defense Travel System (DTS). Schedule appointments, maintain office calendars, and establish uniform administrative operating procedures. Review, distribute, and record classified and unclassified mail while drafting official correspondence and reports. Purchase essential office supplies as an authorized government cardholder (such as Government Purchase Card (GPC) or International Merchant Purchase Authorization Card (I.M.P.A.C.). Reconcile monthly financial accounts to ensure transaction accuracy and regulatory compliance.
