About the role

PACU Registered Nurse Opportunity Advance your nursing career in a dynamic PACU setting with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient recovery. This contract role is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with a background in Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU), offering flexibility in scheduling and a supportive work environment.
Schedule: Three day shift openings with variable start times (between 7am – 10am)
One night shift opening with variable start time (between 7pm – 9pm)
Essential Qualifications:
  • Active RN license with eligibility to practice
  • Minimum of one year experience in PACU or post-anesthesia nursing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Demonstrated skill in monitoring post-surgical patients and identifying complications quickly
  • Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication abilities
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, monitor, and document patients' recovery from anesthesia, managing airway, hemodynamic stability, and pain
  • Administer medications and interventions according to PACU protocols
  • Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families during the immediate post-operative period
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to all healthcare regulations and best practices
