About the role

Polishing Technician Incredible company with a 4-day work week Monday - Thursday, 5am - 3:30pm Irwin, PA $18.45+ based off experience ONLY 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE!Produce quality components while maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment. Operate automatic polishing machines and monitor equipment during production. Use buffing wheels, hand tools, and basic polishing equipment to finish components. Operate and monitor the air filtration system. Perform hand lapping of components as needed. Use a profilometer and other measurement equipment to verify surface finish. Perform simple rework to meet quality requirements. Assist with snow and ice mitigation when needed. Meet established productivity, utilization, scrap and rework goals. Once you become proficient and consistent in all Class C tasks, you will be eligible for a $1.00-per-hour pay increase and promotion to Class B.Qualifications for Success Enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work. Can learn to operate manufacturing equipment. Have good attention to detail and take pride in quality. Are willing to learn new tools, processes, and measurement techniques. Are dependable and committed to meeting production goals. Are comfortable working as part of a team. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Manufacturing, polishing, machining, production, or finishing experience is a plus, but we're interested in motivated candidates who are willing to learn.
