About the role

Our client is seeking a Freelance Event Producer, Experiential for a hybrid role in Iselin, New Jersey, working on-site Tuesday through Thursday. This is a temporary, full-time maternity leave coverage assignment running through June 2027, with a pay rate of $70 per hour. You should bring 5–7+ years of event production experience across both large-scale productions and intimate gatherings. This role will lead a small experiential team responsible for producing more than 35 events annually and creating memorable brand experiences for diverse audiences. You will oversee the full event lifecycle, including creative development, budgets, contracts, venues, vendors, timelines, run-of-show, creative assets, and technical execution. The ideal candidate combines creative thinking and strong taste with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and hands‑on execution. You must have experience leading complex, high‑stakes events, managing teams and external partners, and collaborating across a highly matrixed organization. Strong communication, negotiation, vendor management, and problem‑solving skills are essential, along with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and nontraditional hours when required. Experience producing high‑end galas and development events is a plus.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
