We’re seeking an experienced Department Manager to lead and grow a practice focused on building enclosure consulting, commissioning, testing, and structural/materials diagnostics. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with team leadership, client development, and business growth while working on a diverse range of challenging building projects.
What You’ll Do: Lead projects involving building enclosures, roofing, waterproofing, façades, exterior walls, fenestration, air/water barriers, and moisture intrusion investigations. Oversee building enclosure testing, condition assessments, structural/materials diagnostics, and repair recommendations. Develop proposals, scopes, budgets, and client-facing technical deliverables. Manage project quality, profitability, schedules, staffing, and risk while maintaining strong client relationships. Help grow the practice through business development, client development, and strategic planning. Lead, mentor, and develop technical staff while supporting recruiting and team growth. Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or similar discipline plus 8+ years of relevant experience. Experience with building enclosure systems, roofing, waterproofing, façades, exterior walls, fenestration, or structural/materials diagnostics. Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, staff, and client relationships. Strong technical writing and communication skills, including experience with proposals, reports, field observations, testing, and repair recommendations. Professional certification or licensure in your area of expertise is preferred. Valid driver’s license may be required. Why Consider This Opportunity?
