About the role
Job Summary:
This position supports daily operations of the Nursing Lab & Simulation Suite (Carrollton or Newnan) including physical space, equipment, hardware, software, IT, & human elements. Responsible for skills & simulation lab planning & support. Coordinates with & assists the ELC Asst Dean, Lead Sim Tech & faculty in implementing & delivering simulation & skills activities. Demonstrates expertise in tech & ops needed for quality simulation, including scenario development & ensuring compatibility with tech/ops considerations early in planning. Equipment setup/breakdown includes simulators (low-high fidelity manikins), task trainers, hospital equipment (beds, IV pumps, Pyxis, defibrillators), supplies, & A/V equipment. Leads daily restocking of supplies. Runs simulation software, programs scenarios, & operates software during activities. Maintains, repairs, & troubleshoots equipment. Provides on-site simulator & A/V support. Manages inventory/assets, consulting ELC Asst Dean for orders or maintenance. Participates in simulation training, demos, & PD. Attends educational opportunities to maintain tech & best practice expertise. Maintains databases for tracking scenarios (usage, staffing, setup, costs, scripts, props, objectives). Assists with student lab assistant supervision.
